I've already made 5 in all of the Gustav.
I'm making 21 of these for my grandson class friends
Im using scrap yarn rainbow colors with size G hook
His teacher contacted me and asked me when I finish with them would I bring them in an explain to to the class how they were made. These are 2nd graders. So i'm figuring out how to do this . if you have any ideas on this please share with me

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're not sleeping well, Tasha. Your Gustavs are adorable. I think explaining to 2nd graders how you made these will likely be over their heads, so I'd keep it simple. I can imagine showing them a hook and yarn - even passing some around, while you explain that every stitch was made with that hook and yarn. I suggest telling them about amigurumi - they will probably love learning a new word. I just googled and AI produced quite a bit of information in one "post". Pick out what you think they might think is fun and interesting. Those are my thoughts. Have fun. They kids will love these, and you for making them.

Oh my goodness... that Little Encyclopedia of Dishcloths looks like a fun resource. I like your cloth there. I checked out the video. How fun to see dishcloths made from people participating in the CAL.
